Noah’s Arch - About Us
The Origin
In the biblical narrative, Noah’s Ark was a massive vessel built to preserve pairs of every kind of animal from a catastrophic flood.
Why “Arch”?
But our name is not 'Ark' --- it is 'Arch' (the structure).
In architecture, an arch bears immense weight because every single stone presses against the other, sharing the load. Humans and wildlife are bound together in this very structure. If we lose a single species, the arch collapses.
Our Arch also represents a bridge. It stands for the eco-corridors built over highways for safe wildlife crossings, and the 'Rainbow Bridge' where our beloved animals rest. Ultimately, it serves as a bridge connecting the human world back to the animal kingdom.
Founder’s Note
"My journey began during my time at the Korea National Park Service. Working firsthand with these endangered animals deeply moved me, ultimately inspiring me to pick up my brush. I draw to capture the beauty of the vanishing species on the Korean Peninsula before they disappear forever."
